To add series to a chart, click the ‘Add series button’ this will bring up the add series form. The series you are able to add from this form will be restricted based on the options selected in the add/edit chart form.
In the add series form you can choose from a selection of data sources, each will provide a set of series to choose from. One series or many series can be selected by holding down the shift or ctrl/cmd buttons.
Optionally you can choose to split the selected series in the ‘Advanced’ section at the bottom of the form. This will restrict the data based on the criteria chosen. Eg you can select the ‘Course enrolments’ and ‘Course attempts started’ series and then choose to split them by a specific course. These series will then only show data from course completion records for that specific course.
Once the series selections have been made and you have pressed the ‘Add’ button, you will be returned to the add/edit chart form where the series’ selected will now be added to the list of selected series for the chart. These series do not actually get saved to the chart until you press the ‘Save Changes’ button. If the ‘Cancel’ button is pressed instead the series will not be added.
To delete a series from a chart, click the red rubbish bin icon to the right of the series entry to remove it from the list. Series deleted in this way will not actually be permanently removed from the chart until you press the ‘Save Changes’ button. If the ‘Cancel’ button is pressed instead the series deletions will not be saved.
