The SCORM player warning appears when it perceives the connection has been lost. There's a 5 second timeout value associated with those requests - it uses javascript to check for the file '/lib/yui/build/moodle-core-checknet/assets/checknet.txt' - if it can't access that file it assumes that the network is unavailable.
